“In animals, I see something true — their instinct remains intact. That's what I try to capture: not a message, but a presence. I don't add meaning to my work. I don't need to. The animal already is enough, and if you feel that when you look — if something in it reaches you, if there's a ‘there’ there — you already understand it completely.”
Karen works from Córdoba, Argentina, drawing wild animals in colored pencil, built up over hundreds of hours of layering. Original pieces are chosen by instinct — never repeated, never assigned. She also takes commissions, bringing that same patience and presence to the animal you bring her.
